DevOps Engineer
We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to manage the infrastructure and operations of our fantasy betting platform.
You will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our cloud-based systems, improving CI/CD processes, and ensuring platform scalability, security, and reliability.
Your role will involve managing Kubernetes deployments, cloud storage, and network load balancing, while also driving innovation in automation and deployment strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cloud Infrastructure Management including Kubernetes clusters, virtual instances, databases, CDN and others.
- Ownership of CI/CD pipelines, including management of the existing setup, and evaluation of alternate solutions such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.
- System configuration, monitoring and optimisation including setup of new systems and ensuring systems are operating in an optimal state.
- Regularly review and improve operational procedures such as incident response and secure development practices.
- Provide technical support to developers, resolving issues, and offering solutions that enable them to work independently.
- Respond swiftly to critical system alerts, ensuring minimal downtime during high-traffic periods or system updates.
- Lead disaster recovery planning and ensure robust processes for failover and system recovery.
Requirements:
- Strong experience with cloud infrastructure, including Kubernetes (GCP), virtual machines, cloud storage, and load balancing services across AWS and GCP.
- Proficiency in managing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines.
- Solid understanding of cloud networking, firewalls, DNS, and CDN.
- Strong working knowledge of containerisation using Docker, and orchestration using Kubernetes.
Nice-to-have, but not required:
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform.
- Relevant certifications
- Experience with operational management frameworks (e.g., ITIL).
- Familiarity with collaboration and productivity tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Slack.
- Strong focus on security and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing risks.
