COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST, Remote/Lviv

Scout Gaming Group is seeking a Compliance Specialist to join our team and ensure adherence to laws, regulations, and industry standards related to AML, TF, bribery, corruption, fraud, conflicts of interest, and adhering to sanctions. Reporting to the Group Head of Compliance and MLRO, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining compliance in our gaming operations through projects with pan-European and global impact.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Head of Compliance and MLRO to conduct risk assessments, identify non-compliance areas, participate in implementing policy and process changes, and corrective actions.
  • Assist with the implementation and management of a risk-based approach to compliance, AML and CTF, as per MGA, UKGC and other guidelines.
  • Support in the implementation and ongoing management of MGA and UKGC regulatory requirements, including the monitoring of technical systems and adherence to player protection measures.
  • Monitor and report suspicious or fraudulent activities, including AML and TF risks.
  • Perform due diligence, KYC, AML/TF, watchlist/sanctions, and responsible gambling checks; review transactions, deposit limits, account activities, daily and weekend reports and related documentation; escalate high-risk cases as needed.
  • Assist in preparing and submitting regulatory reports and license applications to the MGA, UKGC, and other relevant authorities, as required.
  • Stay updated and contribute to mapping, review and enforcement of MGA, UKGC, and other jurisdictions’ regulatory developments, guidelines, best practices, licensing conditions and codes of practice (LCCP).
  • Collaborate with KYC providers on system integration and implementation.
  • Foster a culture of compliance, work closely with other departments, and contribute to the development of robust practices; participate in development and updates to policies, procedures, and product terms.
  • Report bugs, suggest system improvements, and ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Participate in conducting compliance awareness training and support employees across various departments.
  • Provide guidance to support and marketing teams on regulatory compliance, complex customer requests, and advertising materials.
  • Support in the preparation for ISO 27001 reviews and audits by providing compliance information and collaborating with the information security management team.

What you should have:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within the iGaming or related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, due diligence, and AML practices.
  • Experience in conducting third-party due diligence.
  • Familiarity with suspicious activity reporting procedures.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written skills in English as the group’s working language.
  • Ability to find innovative solutions for unexplored issues, support implementing them, and collaborate effectively with teams.
  • Data analytics skills, including Google Sheets, Excel, and CRM/ERP systems.
  • Ability to create credible and articulate presentations using Google Slides.
  • Working knowledge of risk management standards / ISO compliance.
